I paint with parts of speech my palette my words my canvas my world [I’m a writer] my brushes my fingers I type onto a keypad I rarely use a pen digital rendering [I’m a writer] I compose nouns and verbs for melody adjectives in measure vocals in print my symphony [I’m a writer] I build narrative for my support beam information as nuts and bolts nails the perspective that experiences seek to hammer down [I’m a writer] truth the standard hope the construct love the concept in practice [I’m a writer] streams from my heart issue to the screen live from my soul I’m publishing my dreams to learn my passion to grow my action and when the proverbial inkwell dries I must conclude that I have died because life is a constant supply of material [I am a writer]
