2015 was a year of personal milestones, extending myself as a teacher, consultant, connector, partner, friend, and ultimately, a man. And as I look back and look forward, I want to go into the new year with renewed purpose, passion, and patience. December 31st is always a special day: simultaneously in review and on the brink of discovery. But for the present, I want to celebrate, with those closest to me and, of course, in style (while of course being mindful of the chill of a New York winter).
Generally when I dress, lean toward a jacket and odd trousers combination. My focus is on fit, texture, and color. Grayscale doesn’t leave much to be desired but a man always looks his best in black tie, it’s truly life’s most favorable silhouette. So I went to REISS‘ tailoring department for a two-piece tuxedo, a beautiful velvet notched lapel jacket and classic trousers.
I started with weather resistant undergarments from Tani, went with my favorite white shirt, a glen plaid bow tie and herringbone socks to complete the ensemble, with patent leather shoes as per the occasion.
Have a happy and prosperous new year!
