“We design clothes for the person who wants to be fashionable and chic, yet still comfortable.” Peter Trainor, Designer
Mambo drums and effortlessly rumpled linens characterized the SS17 collection from Max N’ Chester at New York Men’s Day presented by Cadillac. Produced and styled by famed editor Michael Macko, who’s reputation precedes him with pivotal stints at DETAILS, Saks and Valet Magazine, these season showcased cozy silhouettes with incredible details that stretched into more structured tailoring. A mix of suiting, sportswear, and sleep wear, the collection screamed comfort, with the vibes of the live Cuban band and “Oye Como Va” floating through the room. The palette ranged from ecru to indigo, with a blend of Japanese cottons, linens, and silk blends. The presentation was well attended, including photographer and consultant Monsieur Jerome and #menswear legendary free agent Nick Wooster. Scroll below to see all the looks from the collection.
