Last week, Timberland hosted a private media viewing on the rooftop of The Gramercy Park Hotel to debut their Fall collection. ‘Made for the Modern Trail’ celebrates the deep heritage of the brand while adding contemporary design elements for today’s city dweller. The collection was presented in five distinct capsules that displayed the versatility in their iconic footwear but also in the apparel and accessories category. I was particularly impressed by the outerwear, a mix of rich leathers, shearling, waxed canvas, and heritage wools for exclusive collaborations with Harris Tweed® and Pendleton®. Transitional ensembles for early fall and heavier weight alternatives for the winter to follow, mixed media for durability and comfort, and a range of textures and hues marked a cohesive and well-curated product line.
“The Modern Trail is not just a place, it’s also a movement toward the new and the excitement of the unknown” explained Jim Davey, vice president of global marketing. “Being digitally connected, [the consumer] never know(s) what opportunity is next, so adaptability is key. The Timberland® Fall 2015 collection equips modern trailblazers with the style they need when their trail is changing every day.”
